About SLOP TV News

SLOP TV News covers AI video creation: the models and tools, what they cost, who is building them, the deals and lawsuits around them, and the work people make with them. It is part of SLOP TV by sloptvedits.

How stories are made

Stories on this site are researched and written by an automated editorial system working to a fixed set of house rules. We say so plainly because you should know what you are reading.

The rules it works to

  • No source, no story. Every article lists the pages it was built from, and links them in the text.
  • Numbers come from the source, not from memory. Versions, prices, dates and specs are taken from the maker's own pages or credited reporting.
  • Reported is not confirmed. We say "reportedly" when something is unconfirmed, "alleges" when it comes from a legal filing, and "officially" only when the maker has said it on the record.
  • No invented quotes or hands-on claims. If we have not tested something, we say so.
  • Other outlets get credit. When a story rests on someone else's reporting, they are named and linked, and their words are not copied.

Corrections

Automated systems make mistakes. If you spot one, tell us on X at @sloptvedits and we will fix or remove the story.
