Adobe will bring Kling AI's Kling 4.0 to Adobe Firefly, the multi-model creative studio that added Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Omni to its roster on April 15, 2026, extending a distribution arrangement Kling AI put in front of advertisers at Advertising Week New York.

Kling AI said in an October 16 release that Adobe will also soon bring Kling 4.0 to Firefly, giving creators more choice and flexibility to use the models that best suit their needs. Neither company disclosed financial terms. The placement slots Kling into Firefly's roster of more than 30 partner models, which also carries Google's Veo 3.1 and Runway's Gen-4.5, per Adobe's April 15 announcement.

The session, "The New Production Engine: Powering Creativity at Scale with Kling AI," opened with the Kling 4.0 launch film on October 6. Zheru Liu, Kling AI's head of partnerships for North America, shared the stage with Mathieu Albrand, director of AI strategy and innovation at WPP, and Elissa Levine, a principal in corporate partnerships at Adobe. Advertising Week New York ran October 5 to 8 at The Penn District in Manhattan, with more than 1,300 speakers across 500-plus sessions.

"People appreciate Kling for the ability to generate at the pixel level. Then they come to Adobe to shape those pixels into impactful content that support their campaign goals," Levine said at the session.

WPP's side of the arrangement predates the panel. WPP and Adobe expanded their partnership on February 24, 2026, integrating Adobe Firefly Foundry, which develops generative models responsibly trained on a customer's own IP, into WPP Open, the agency group's agentic marketing platform. "For years, we've watched brilliant creative ideas get stuck in production queues, buried under versioning and approvals and media plans. That era is over," Stephan Pretorius, WPP's chief technology officer, said in the release.

Adobe's statement on the model team-up came in the Kling 4.0 launch release. "We're excited to expand that choice with Kling's newest models coming soon to Firefly, including Kling 4.0 for creating rich, cinematic stories and Kling 4.0 Flash for producing high-volume, everyday content with speed," said Meg Donovan, senior director of product marketing for GenAI and creators at Adobe.

Kling 4.0 generates native 30-second clips, accepts up to 10 keyframes and 15 multimodal references, and will soon add 10-bit HDR output. Its maker, Kuaishou's Kling AI, said it had served more than 100 million users across 224 countries and regions and nearly 50,000 enterprise customers as of June 2026. Kling AI also cited the 2026 Cannes Lions, where an AI Craft category debuted and two films made with its models won Lions.

For creators, the practical question is terms. Adobe's Kling page says Kling 3.0 is free to try in Firefly but unlimited use requires a paid Adobe subscription, and that commercial use of partner-model output is the user's call. If Kling 4.0 arrives on the same footing, Firefly plan holders could render 4.0 shots without leaving the app.

Kling 4.0 is available now on the Kling AI website, with API access for enterprise customers and developers promised soon. Adobe has given no date for the Firefly rollout.
