Five AI video tools that shipped this week, picked for solo use
HeyGen, Pixo, GPT-Video, Pollo and Medeo all shipped between October 13 and 17; here is what each costs and where it stops.

Key takeaways
- SLOP TV's pick of five AI video tools that shipped between October 13 and 17, 2026, chosen on what a solo creator can use this week.
- HeyGen Video 1 now runs inside HeyGen's Remote MCP server on every HeyGen plan, and costs from $0.02 a second at 480p on OpenRouter.
- GPT-Video launched on Product Hunt on October 17 with plans at $19, $49 and $199 a month, and 4K export starts on the $49 tier.
- Medeo's Pro plan is $28 a month billed annually for 700 credits, which Medeo says is about 3 minutes of fully generated video.
SLOP TV picked five AI video tools that shipped between October 13 and 17, 2026, and all five are things one person can use this week. This is the site's own selection, not a quality ranking and not a usage chart. The test was plain: can a solo creator get a finished result out of it in the week it landed, without a crew, a render farm or an enterprise contract?
The week split three ways. Two of the five are agent plumbing, with HeyGen putting its video model behind an MCP server and GPT-Video selling a chat window instead of a timeline. Two are format tools built around a specific kind of clip, Pixo for music videos and Pollo Recast for rebuilding a video you already like. Medeo is the workflow play, a generator that wants to own everything after the export button.
Every price below was read on October 18, 2026, and prices on this beat move. We did not run these tools ourselves. Where a claim comes from the maker and nobody has tested it independently, the entry says so.
HeyGen Video 1 in the Remote MCP server (HeyGen)
HeyGen put its general-purpose video model into the hosted MCP server on October 16, so an agent can run the render from chat. The model shipped September 30 and makes 5 to 15 second clips with dialogue, ambience and effects in one call. HeyGen calls it OpenRouter's top video model by usage.
Point Claude, Cursor or Codex CLI at the endpoint and sign in once with OAuth. No API key, and billing runs through existing HeyGen credits on every plan, including the free one that allows three videos a month. Creator is $29 a month. OpenRouter lists it at $0.02 a second at 480p, up to $0.10 at 2K; the 1-cent launch promotion runs through October. HeyGen's prompting notes flag long on-screen text, soft organic motion like hair, and close hand work as least reliable.

Pixo music video agent (Pixo)
Pixo announced on October 17 that its music video agent now plans cuts around the song. Beat-aware editing puts shot boundaries on beats while preferring the gaps between vocal phrases, so a transition lands between sung lines rather than through one. Upload a track and it maps sections, lyrics and singers, boards a shot per storyboard beat, generates with Seedance, Kling, Veo or Hailuo, and assembles the cut in four aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 3:4 or 1:1); the music video page says resolution runs from 480p through 4K depending on the generation model and project settings.
You get 200 credits free. Basic is $9.90 a month billed annually, or $19.90 monthly, with a 1080p ceiling; Pro is $39.90 a month annually for 4K. Audio uploads top out at 20 MB, and Pixo's own documentation warns that alignment to the vocal does not guarantee perfect lip-sync, so check mouth timing before you export.

GPT-Video (GPT-Video)
GPT-Video launched on Product Hunt on October 17 with a bet that the timeline is the problem. You upload a podcast, stream or webinar, then type what you want changed. The editor shows its plan before it cuts, says why each clip was picked, naming the hook it opens on and the line that earned it, and lets you undo any step. Auto Clip reframes to 9:16 and adds word-by-word captions. It is built and run by one developer, Alessio Battagliero, working from Milan, Italy.
Plans are $19, $49 and $199 a month. The $19 Starter tier includes 250 credits, which GPT-Video calls about four hours of footage a month, and 4K export only arrives on the $49 tier. No independent hands-on review exists yet.

Pollo Recast (Pollo AI)
Pollo Recast arrived on October 14 and does more than a face swap. Hand it a source clip and a handful of images, and it rebuilds the whole performance around your character, product or set while keeping the original motion, cuts and camera moves. Source audio carries over, which is why dance trends and product reveals are the obvious first jobs. The reference video supplies the timing; your images supply the cast.
The ceilings are the story. Source clips run 4 to 30 seconds, you can supply up to 10 reference images, and output tops out at 720p. Crowded footage with overlapping subjects is where it struggles, by Pollo's own advice. Pricing is credit-based: Pollo's pricing page lists $15 a month for 300 credits, $59 a month for 2,000 and $139 a month for 5,000, with Free, Basic, Lite, Pro and Ultra tiers. The only free-credit offer on the page is 20 credits for joining Pollo's Discord.

Medeo Creative OS (One2X)
Medeo announced its Creative OS on October 14, though the same release carries an October 13 dateline on EINPresswire. The pitch is one loop: surface a trend, generate the video in chat, publish to your social accounts, and earn through a built-in creator marketplace. Underneath the framing it is a chat-driven generator with a visual track you can still drag, plus stock assets, AI voices and templates.
It runs in a browser and on iOS and Android. The free plan watermarks output. Pro is $28 a month billed annually, or $39 monthly, for 700 credits, and Medeo's pricing page says that buys about 3 minutes of fully generated video or 30 minutes with stock. That ratio is the limitation, and a Media.io review notes that broad chat instructions can be reinterpreted across scenes.
