Key takeaways

  • antrofrog's No Ordinary Love, a 59-second AI cartoon, had more than 21 million views and about 187,000 likes on X on November 2, 2026, according to Krea's breakdown.
  • The film credits Midjourney 8.2 for George's design, Krea 3 for Gina's design and Seedance 2.5 on Krea for the animation.
  • Krea's how-to keeps two cartoon characters consistent by saving a clean still of each and reusing it as a Krea 3 reference and as a Seedance 2.5 start frame or image reference.
  • "No Ordinary Love" is a copyrighted composition and a copyrighted recording, so Krea warns that Sade's track cannot be used without a license.

Krea has published the workflow behind No Ordinary Love, antrofrog's 59-second AI cartoon with more than 21 million views on X.

antrofrog posted the film on X on October 28, 2026. Krea's breakdown, published November 2, 2026, reports more than 21 million views and about 187,000 likes on the X post, and 6.4 million likes on the Instagram post of the same short.

The short is a flat 2D cartoon with no dialogue, cut to Sade's "No Ordinary Love." It tells a rainy-London courtship: George, in a black suit, tries to win over Gina, in a red dress. A flock of pigeons forms a heart around him, a black cab soaks him, and the two end up under one shared umbrella.

The tool stack, from antrofrog's credits

antrofrog has not published his prompts or a shot list, but he did list his tools. In a credits reply on X, he named Midjourney 8.2 for George's design, Krea 3 for Gina's design and Seedance 2.5 on Krea for the animation, and said the film was made on Krea.

The split follows the job. Character design is an image task, so both characters began as stills. Animation is a video task, so Seedance 2.5 moved those stills.

The next film in the series, Englishman in New York, takes George to Manhattan and had passed 35 million views on X on November 2, 2026. It was a Krea collaboration on Instagram, and its credits name Midjourney 8.2 and Seedance 2.5 on Krea, but not Krea 3.

Step 1: Design two characters and save the stills

Write each character down before you generate: silhouette, outfit, palette, and the details that cannot change. For a pair like George and Gina, that list is the height, the hair, the black suit and the red dress.

Design at least one of them in Krea 3. Krea 3 takes up to 8 reference images per edit, so attach what you have and say what each image is for. Use fast mode while you try poses, high mode for the still you will animate, and ultra when the instruction is less literal than "keep this coat." Most Krea 3 edits finish in under 8 seconds.

Save one clean, full-figure still of each character. The other character can come from a different image model, the way George came from Midjourney 8.2. Bring that still into Krea as a reference.

Step 2: Paint every place in the same style

The film moves through about ten settings, from a townhouse to a poppy field to an Underground escalator. Every place looks like it came from the same hand. Krea's guide says to paint each empty setting in one flat style before you add anyone to it, and to keep the palette, the line weight and the weather the same from plate to plate.

Krea 3 can put a saved character into one of those plates: pass the character stills and the setting, and say which image is the person and which is the place. Dedicated style references for Krea 3 are coming soon. Until then, pass one image as the style example and say in the prompt that it sets the line and the palette.

Step 3: Animate short beats in Seedance 2.5

Put the character still on the start frame, or add both characters as image references. Describe the motion, the camera and the sound, and let the still carry the suit and the dress.

Krea blocks uploaded images and videos that show realistic human faces, so flat illustrated stills fit the allowed path. Prompt a closed mouth and no dialogue, which stops the model from inventing a line you would then have to lip-sync.

Keep each generation short. Krea's guide puts one action at four to eight seconds, though Seedance 2.5 can make clips from 4 to 30 seconds; a long take is harder to cut to a song. Draft at 480p before you render at full quality. Seedance 2.5 on Krea is available on the Pro plan and above.

Step 4: Cut the shots to music you can license

Download the takes you keep and edit them against the track. The order of the shots is the story, and the phrases of the song are the cuts. Keep the rain and the footsteps Seedance generated, or replace them, and put a licensed song under the picture. Krea has plugins for Premiere Pro and After Effects, so you can generate a replacement shot without leaving the timeline.

One catch: the song is copyrighted

"No Ordinary Love" is a copyrighted composition and a copyrighted recording. antrofrog's film uses Sade's record, and Krea's guide warns that does not give you the right to use it. Do not upload that song, or any other commercial recording, into Seedance or an editor unless you hold a license. Use music you composed, a track you licensed, or music your publishing platform provides.

antrofrog posts as @antrofrog_ on X and as @antrofrog on Instagram, where Krea's piece reports he had about 354,000 followers at the time of writing. Since he has not shared his settings, Krea's steps are one way to build a similar two-character short, not a copy of his project.

To start, design a character still in Krea 3, animate a short beat with Seedance 2.5, and lay a song you have licensed under the cut. The AI video generator is at krea.ai/features/ai-video-generator.
