Clueso, an agentic video platform for businesses, has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Dharana Capital, bringing the company's total funding to $12 million. Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures joined as new investors, and Y Combinator and f7 Ventures, both existing backers, participated, according to Dealroom News and Tech in Asia.
Clueso is based in California and Bengaluru and was founded in 2023 by IIT Madras alumni Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash and Neel Balar, according to Dealroom News. The company says more than 1,000 companies use its platform to make video for marketing, customer success, onboarding and training. The customers it names include Atlassian, Zendesk and Ironclad, per Dealroom News. Clueso also says its users report productivity gains of more than 5x and an 80% reduction in video production costs.
The product's premise is that AI agents learn a company's products, processes and brand, then create and maintain video across a business instead of generating a single clip from a prompt. Anand, the co-founder and chief executive, said Clueso began by helping customer-facing teams build product tutorials faster and then found the same problem in other teams. "Today, Clueso acts as an AI video production team that anyone or any team in the organization can rely on, handling the work of creating, editing and maintaining videos as the business moves," he said, in comments reported by Dealroom News.
Dharana framed the round around that shift. "With AI, video is evolving from static media files into living, context-aware assets that continuously adapt as business processes and products change," said Vamsi Duvvuri, founder and managing partner at Dharana Capital, in remarks reported by Dealroom News. The company said it will spend the money on three things: scaling enterprise go-to-market reach, deepening its agentic layer, and expanding its editing capabilities.
The round is a step up from Clueso's seed. The company announced a $1.4 million seed round led by f7 Ventures with participation from Y Combinator in a blog post dated April 23, 2024. f7 Ventures led that earlier round and appears here as a returning participant rather than a new name, which makes Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures the two additions to the cap table this time.
For creators, the round is a signal about where enterprise video budgets are moving, not a direct change to their own tools. Clueso sells to companies, and nothing in the stated use of funds points to consumer pricing, a free tier or a creator-facing product. The work most exposed is the manual kind the platform automates: producing and re-cutting onboarding, training and product-tutorial video each time a product changes. If more of that work shifts to agent-maintained libraries, the freelancers and agencies that bill for it by the hour have the most to watch. If it does not, the round is one more bet on enterprise tooling, and the editing and timeline work stays with people.
The Series A is closed, so the checkpoint is when the deeper agentic layer and the expanded editing features Clueso says the money funds actually ship.
