Key takeaways

  • Higgsfield's updated AI Influencer builds a character from 19 menu settings with no prompt writing, and its Character type runs Average, Bold or Extreme.
  • A character generation costs 1.12 credits, about $0.06, and returns a close-up portrait and a full-body shot, Higgsfield's post says.
  • Created characters carry into Cinema Studio 4.0 through an AI Influencer tab and can be referenced with @ across scenes.
  • Semafor covered the launch on October 7, 2026 and framed the deliberately uncanny look as a more transparent alternative to deepfakes.

Higgsfield rebuilt its AI Influencer tool, and it now builds a video-ready virtual character from 19 menus with no prompt writing at any step.

The maker detailed the change in a blog post dated October 3, 2026. Semafor covered the launch on October 7.

Character type, the first field in the builder, used to pick a species: human, mammal, reptile, fish, hybrid or alien. It now sets how far a character departs from an ordinary look, on three levels. Average builds an everyday person for lifestyle posts. Bold adds features that register in a feed. Extreme produces a full outlier for comedy and meme formats.

The builder covers identity, body, face, hair, style and accessories, and a Randomize button fills all 19 fields at once. Upload your photo is optional and carries the facial features from a picture of yourself, or of someone who gave you permission to use their face.

One character generation costs 1.12 credits, about $0.06 at Higgsfield's posted rate of 20 credits to the dollar, and returns a close-up portrait and a full-body shot.

Video happens in the same studio. The Motion tab runs Genjutsu in two modes: Motion transfer, which pulls the movement out of a reference clip and hands it to your character, and Objects swap, which replaces a product, outfit or prop in an existing shot. A generation takes a reference video of 4 to 30 seconds and up to 30 reference images, and outputs at 480p, 720p or 1080p, with prompts optional.

Characters carry into Cinema Studio, the maker's filmmaking environment, under an AI Influencer tab in the media picker. Cinema Studio 4.0 raised generation to 30 seconds when it launched on August 12, 2026. Reference a character with @ in a scene description and the same persona holds its role across shots.

Semafor framed the tool as the transparent end of the deepfake problem. The characters read as realistic but not quite human, with geometric haircuts and stretched proportions, and the maker says that is deliberate. "A flawless face is the fastest way for a character to read as generic AI," a Higgsfield spokesperson told Semafor. Some of the accounts built this way "have racked up millions of views and thousands of followers across platforms," the outlet reported.

Higgsfield's own site counts "over 25 million users"; Semafor reports 30 million. Bloomberg reported on September 24, 2026 that the company says it is running at a revenue pace that would top $1 billion on a full-year basis, a figure it reaches by annualizing its most recent four weeks of sales, per a summary published by Briefs.co.
