Higgsfield adds Nvidia and TCV to its Series B extension
Nvidia and TCV's money builds on an August round that valued Higgsfield at $5.4 billion, and the size of the new investment was not disclosed.

Key takeaways
- Nvidia Corp. and TCV invested in Higgsfield Inc. as an extension to the AI video startup's Series B round, and neither the amount nor the new valuation was disclosed.
- The extension follows Higgsfield's $400 million Series B on August 17, 2026, at a $5.4 billion valuation led by DST Global, up from $1.3 billion in January 2026.
- Bloomberg reported Higgsfield's registered users have passed 40 million, while The Astana Times said the user base had surpassed 30 million and annualized revenue had reached $700 million.
- Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed the investment during a visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, on October 23, where Higgsfield keeps most of its engineering team.
Nvidia Corp. and the growth-stage fund TCV have invested in Higgsfield Inc., the San Francisco-based AI video startup, as an extension to the company's Series B round, Higgsfield said on October 23. Neither the amount of the money nor the valuation it implies was disclosed.
The extension builds on the $400 million Series B Higgsfield announced on August 17, 2026, at a $5.4 billion valuation, led by DST Global. Goldman Sachs Alternatives' Growth Equity business, Intel Capital, Fifth Wall, Tribe Capital, Smash Capital, Valor Capital, Liberty Global Tech Ventures, Mirae Asset Capital and NTT DOCOMO Ventures joined that round, along with existing investors Accel, Menlo Ventures and GFT Ventures.
That August valuation more than quadrupled the $1.3 billion Higgsfield reached in January 2026, when an $80 million Series A extension brought its total Series A funding past $130 million. Because the size and the valuation of the Nvidia and TCV extension are undisclosed, neither investor's stake can be inferred from the earlier figures.
The announcement coincided with Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang's first visit to Kazakhstan, where Higgsfield keeps the majority of its engineering talent. Huang confirmed the investment during a fireside chat in Astana on October 23 with Zhaslan Madiyev, Kazakhstan's deputy prime minister and minister of artificial intelligence and digital development, at the alem.ai International AI Center, according to The Astana Times.
"The first thing and the last thing is you invest in people, not companies," Huang said at the event. He added that Higgsfield's founders "had a wonderful idea. It is not easy to do."
TCV, which has previously backed Netflix Inc., Spotify AB and ByteDance Ltd., said it invested because Higgsfield had shown "a radically faster, professional-grade and AI-native mechanism for creators, brand marketers and agencies alike to turn ideas into images and video," Bloomberg reported.
The two accounts of Higgsfield's user base published on October 23 conflict. Bloomberg reported that Higgsfield said its registered users have grown to more than 40 million, and that paying customers have been joining the platform, which it said had added 10 million since its summer fundraising. The Astana Times, covering the same event, said the company's annualized revenue had reached $700 million and its global user base had surpassed 30 million. The 30 million figure matches the user count in Higgsfield's August Series B announcement, which said the platform had more than 30 million users across 238 countries and territories, and the $700 million figure also dates to August. The company's annualized run rate stood at $200 million in January.
Higgsfield runs what it describes as a platform for about 35 third-party AI video models alongside its own engine, letting creators pick different models for storyboarding, character creation, audio and finished video. It was founded in 2023 by Alex Mashrabov, who previously ran generative AI at Snap Inc., and Kazakhstani AI engineer Yerzat Dulat.
Higgsfield's competitors have raised at comparable scale. China's Kling AI, owned by Kuaishou Technology, raised $2.8 billion this summer at about a $15 billion valuation, and Higgsfield's U.S. rival Runway AI Inc. raised $315 million at a $5.3 billion valuation in February, a round in which Nvidia also participated, Bloomberg reported.
Higgsfield said the new money will fund global infrastructure and hiring, according to Bloomberg. More than 300 people work across the company's engineering and creative teams in Kazakhstan, CNBC reported, and co-founder Yerzat Dulat told CNBC that "building a team in Kazakhstan was an unexpected bet for many. Today, we're backed by some of the most influential names in technology and media."
If the extension funds the infrastructure and hiring Higgsfield describes, platform capacity and access to its model catalog could improve for creators. The company has not said how it will allocate the money.
The size and valuation of the Nvidia and TCV extension remain undisclosed, and Higgsfield has not said when it will report them.
