Magnific One, a new image model from the creative platform Magnific, settles a picture's art direction before it generates anything, and it is available now on the company's paid plans worldwide.

Magnific announced Magnific One and its companion Brand Kit on October 8, 2026, in a press release. The company says the model reads a simple prompt and decides the art direction first, so images come back with a visual sensibility of their own.

The model runs in two modes. Draft turns one idea into a grid of up to 16 directions to explore. Final produces a single image at 2K High by default, with output up to 4K and a Max setting, and it is in Final that a Brand Kit takes effect.

Brand Kit is the part built for teams. Hand it a website, a guidelines PDF, a few images or a written description, and an agent extracts the logo, palette, typography, imagery and tone into a first version of the kit for the team to review and refine. Magnific One then applies that kit to every image it generates in Final mode, checking each one against it whoever prompted it. Mark an image as off-brand once, and the company turns that call into a standing rule. Each client gets its own kit, and using one is optional.

Magnific is the company formerly known as Freepik. Founded in Málaga in 2010 as a search engine for graphic resources, it relaunched as Magnific in 2026 and says it now serves more than one million paid subscribers with a library of more than 200 million licensed assets.

Magnific presents Magnific One as its own model, but the underlying image generation comes from OpenAI. VentureBeat quoted Magnific saying "It's powered by GPT-Image-2," while the company's own written FAQ, supplied to the outlet, states "No. Nothing was trained." VentureBeat reports Magnific has not explained how the interview's description of post-training fits that FAQ.

Martin LeBlanc, Magnific's Chief Experience Officer, framed the pitch in the announcement: "Most image models are very good at making the picture you described. Magnific One makes the picture you would have arrived at with a good art director in the room."

Magnific subscriptions start at $14.50 a month billed annually, which VentureBeat calculates to roughly $0.12 to $0.73 per image if a customer uses the full annual credit allowance. VentureBeat's comparison table puts Runway's Gen-4 Image at $0.05 to $0.08 per image through its API, and notes Runway also offers Brand Kits.

For teams paying for several image tools, Magnific One's value could come down to whether its brand checks save revision time. Magnific has not published figures on how often they catch deviations.

Magnific One is available now on all Magnific paid plans worldwide, on the web, in the desktop and mobile apps and through the Magnific MCP. Through October 15, 2026, the desktop app offers unlimited Magnific One generation at 2K and 4K in Draft and Final on eligible higher-tier subscriptions, while Max-quality images still use credits.
