Reallusion and Escape.AI partner on a 3D-to-AI pipeline

The multi-year deal puts Reallusion's Character Creator and iClone 3D tools inside Escape.AI's creator platform, which splits CTV revenue 50/50 and lets creators keep their IP.

Reallusion Inc. and Escape.AI Media Inc. announced a multi-year partnership on October 8, 2026 that pairs Reallusion's 3D character tools with Escape.AI's streaming and creator marketplace, giving AI filmmakers a route from production software to connected-TV distribution.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Under the agreement, Reallusion folds Character Creator 5, the ActorCore motion library, iClone and its AI Studio app into Escape.AI's creator ecosystem. The companies call the result a 3D-to-AI pipeline: a creator builds the character, the camera move and the scene in 3D first, then feeds that spatial data to a generative video model as a control layer instead of describing the shot in text. Reallusion says the 3D layer holds a character's face and costume steady between shots and cuts the retries that run up cloud rendering token costs. On the distribution side, Escape.AI says creators keep 100% ownership of their underlying intellectual property and take a 50% net revenue split on syndicated CTV content.

"Pure text-to-video generation has hit a hard ceiling when it comes to long-form narrative storytelling," said Enoc Burgos, a director at Reallusion. "Filmmakers cannot build persistent franchises when characters and animations morph from shot to shot."

"Neo Cinema is about blending human imagination, game engine control, and generative AI into a unified narrative force," said John Gaeta, founder of Escape.AI.

Gaeta is an Academy Award winner for visual effects on The Matrix, taking Best Visual Effects at the 72nd Academy Awards, per Wikipedia; Variety calls him the Matrix VFX Oscar winner. Escape.AI debuted in beta on February 26, 2025, Variety reported. Its CTV apps went live on February 3, 2026 through a distribution deal with Play.Works, and now run on Roku and The Roku Channel, Amazon Fire TV, LG and Samsung smart TVs. That Play.Works announcement is the origin of the reach figure: both companies describe more than 400 million active CTV devices as the combined addressable market of the four platforms, not Escape.AI's own audience. Reallusion opened AI Studio in early access on May 25, 2026.

For creators, the pitch is one chain from a 3D file to a living-room screen. The 50% split and the IP term apply to Escape.AI's syndicated CTV content, so a creator still has to be accepted onto the platform, and whether the 3D-to-AI workflow holds up in production is what the October 23 demo is meant to show.

The joint live demo of the 3D-to-AI workflow runs on October 23, 2026, and the Escape Labs portal at escape.ai/labs/tools carries the workflow guides and free iClone PERSONAL access for the Escape.AI community.
