Trumbone Indigo adds Scene DNA to keep shots consistent
The music-video platform now writes a reference picture for every object or place a script returns to, and it is on every plan today.

Key takeaways
- Trumbone released Indigo, version 1.1 of its AI video platform, on October 1, 2026, and it is live for every user on every plan.
- Scene DNA reads a script, finds every recurring person, object and location, and generates a reference picture for each one so later shots reuse the same image.
- Photo Looks turns one phone photograph into any of 24 treatments, and Property Tours builds a walkthrough video from a listing's photographs.
- The company says the update is aimed first at musicians, and older projects pick it up when their script is regenerated.
Trumbone released Indigo, version 1.1 of its AI video platform, on October 1, with a feature aimed at the problem that has kept AI video in fragments: the model generating shot forty has never seen shot two.
The release notes describe Scene DNA as the core change. Trumbone now reads a script, identifies every person, object and location the script returns to, and generates a reference picture for each one. Every later shot that needs that guitar or that kitchen is handed the same reference picture, so the guitar in shot forty is the guitar from shot two. Uploading a product or a logo once makes it recur the same way across everything generated afterwards.
The company frames the release as a creative tool for musicians first. "Indigo adds some fun features like Photo Looks and Property Tours, but it's a huge step forward as a creative tool for musicians," Trumbone wrote, adding that a new generation of DIY bands can now make the video they have wanted for their song.
Two features extend the platform past video. Photo Looks takes a photograph from a phone and returns it in any of 24 treatments, from an oil portrait to claymation to a headshot suitable for a professional profile, with the subject still recognisably themselves. When a result is close but not right, you describe the change in your own words, and every earlier version is kept. Property Tours builds a walkthrough video from the photographs on a real estate listing, set to music and carrying the agent's own cards and overlays; the camera moves only inside what was actually photographed, so the tour shows the house as it was shot rather than a version the model invented.
Indigo also improves video quality, lip-sync realism and scene consistency across the platform, per the company's release.
Trumbone is a music-video and short-form platform rather than a frontier model lab. You bring a song, a script or a set of photographs; Trumbone plans the shots, generates the images and clips, and assembles them on an editable timeline. The company is based in Lindenhurst, New York, and the release is the platform's biggest update since launch by its own account.
Scene DNA is the same problem the frontier labs are attacking from the other end. Kuaishou's Kling 4.0 shipped reference inputs and up to 10 keyframes on September 28, and Utopai Studios opened its PAI platform on October 1 with approved character and location references held at project level. Trumbone's version is narrower and cheaper to reach: it is a checkbox-free update on an account anyone can open.
Indigo is live now for every Trumbone user on every plan, and existing projects pick it up when their script is regenerated.
