- Wizstar's release calls Wizshot's quality comparable to Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3, while its model page claims Seedance 2.0-level quality; no independent test has been published.
Wizstar launched Wizshot 1.0 on November 6, its first in-house video model, priced at 5 credits per second.
The company announced the reference-to-video model in a press release distributed through PR Newswire, and its own model page carries the spec sheet. Wizstar describes Wizshot 1.0 as developed and trained from the ground up, its first model built in-house rather than licensed from another lab.
A reference-to-video model starts from images rather than a blank prompt. Wizshot 1.0 accepts up to nine reference images per generation, in JPEG, PNG or WEBP, and uses them to lock a character, product or scene. It then generates 720p video in either 9:16 or 16:9, running 5 to 15 seconds in one-second steps, with up to four videos per generation. Every clip carries native audio generated alongside the picture, Wizstar's model page states.
Wizstar lists Wizshot 1.0 at 5 credits per second in Credit Mode, and says that is 72% lower than Seedance 2.0. On Wizstar's own pricing page, Seedance 2.0 at 720p costs 18 credits per second, so 5 against 18 works out to a 72% cut. Wizstar calls Wizshot 1.0 the lowest-priced video model in its generator; MiniMax H3, at 6 credits per second for 720p, is the next closest on the same table.
Wizstar's performance claims are its own. The press release says Wizshot 1.0 delivers quality comparable to Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3. The model page makes a different comparison, describing Seedance 2.0-level quality, and says Wizshot was strongest at animation and 3D in two blind internal evaluations against other models on the platform. Those tests ran on a pre-release build, and Wizstar says the results describe usable-rate comparisons rather than a full quality ranking. No independent hands-on test of Wizshot 1.0 has been published.
Wizshot 1.0 is available to all logged-in Wizstar users without a paid membership. Eligible annual Starter and Plus subscribers, and Pro subscribers, get limited-time Unlimited generation: Pro for as long as the subscription is active, the others for a set number of days. Unlimited covers 720p clips of 5 to 15 seconds, and Wizstar warns those tasks may wait longer when the service is busy.
Wizshot 1.0 is live now in Wizstar's video generator, where the credit cost is shown before you generate.
