Higgsfield adds Micro Drama Ads from 3 credits a second
Higgsfield's Ads Studio now builds a story-shaped video ad, complete with a character, a problem and a rival, from a brief or a pasted script.

Key takeaways
- Higgsfield added Micro Drama Ads to its Ads Studio on November 6, 2026, turning a brief or a pasted script into a video ad with a main character, a problem, a rival and the product at the turning point.
- The maker lists eight video styles and 44 ready-made story cards, and prices the video at 3 credits per second at 480p, 7 at 720p and 16 at 1080p.
- Story cards are vertical 9:16, and through Claude or ChatGPT a creator can ask for 16:9, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9 instead; captions are not added by default.
- Ads Studio already made static ads and, since October 6, 2026, Ad Multiplier, which rebuilds one video ad with your own characters, products and locations.
Micro Drama Ads is a new feature in Higgsfield Ads Studio that turns a product into part of a short story. Higgsfield added it on November 6, 2026, according to its launch post. Ads Studio, which the maker says opened in October 2026 for static ads, keeps the same agent and gains the video side now; the maker's changelog dates the Ads Studio entry September 30, 2026.
What Are Micro Drama Ads?
Micro Drama Ads is a story-driven video ad. The maker's post describes the shape plainly: there is a main character, something goes wrong, and the product helps turn things around. In the flagship style, called Micro drama, a rival often adds to the trouble before the product enters the story and resolves it. Ads Studio calls Micro drama "a live-action mini drama shot like a film."
You start from a story card, an idea or a script. Ads Studio lists 44 ready-made story cards, most of them in the Micro drama style (18). The other styles are Cartoon story (7 cards), Claymation story (4), Cinematic story (3), Talking object (3), Inside the body (3), Doll story (3) and Crochet story (3). Micro drama and Cinematic story are the two photoreal styles; the rest are animated or stylized, and four are told by their hero in voiceover. The maker checked the styles and card counts on November 6, 2026.
What You Control
An agent in the chat does the work. You describe the ad or paste a script, and the agent builds the video, then makes new versions on request. You choose three things on top of the story:
- Style. One of the eight video styles above. Micro drama gives a live-action ad; the animated styles (Cartoon story, Claymation story, Crochet story) give an animated ad narrated by its hero.
- Product. An item saved in your brand kit, so the same product appears across ads.
- Avatar. A character who stays the same person across all your ads.
There is no separate app. The maker's FAQ states that Micro Drama Ads are part of Ads Studio, and that the same story catalog runs in Claude and ChatGPT through the Higgsfield MCP connector with the /microdrama-ads command. In those assistants the agent writes the script, generates the references and clips, and joins them into one film on your Higgsfield account, according to the post.
Formats and Aspect Ratios
Story cards in Ads Studio are vertical 9:16, the shape of a reel. Through Claude or ChatGPT you can name a different ratio instead: 16:9, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9. The post also states there is no set limit on film length in Ads Studio; in an assistant the film runs as long as the story needs, or as long as you name when you ask for a length.
Captions are not added by default. The maker's FAQ says the assistant adds captions only when you ask for them, in the look of the chosen style.
What Micro Drama Ads Cost
The launch post prices the video only. Character and location images, voiceover and music add a small amount on top, the post says.
| Resolution | Credits per second | Credits per minute | Approx. cost per minute |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | 3 | 180 | $8.82 |
| 720p | 7 | 420 | $20.58 |
| 1080p | 16 | 960 | $47.04 |
The maker's table converts credits at $49 for 1,000 credits, or about $0.049 a credit, and says pricing was checked on November 6, 2026. A 60-second film at 1080p uses 960 credits for the video alone.
In Ads Studio on the web, each generation uses credits, and so does each request to the agent unless the model is set to Auto, which is free. The agent starts generations without asking by default; a setting called Ask before generating makes it wait. The post says most failed generations return their credits automatically, while completed ones are charged as usual.
What Micro Drama Ads Do Not Do
The captions switch is off by default, so a finished ad arrives without them unless you ask.
The launch post describes the styles and the story shape, not how the output holds up. No hands-on test of Micro Drama Ads was run for this article, and the maker's own pages are the only source for the durations, credit rates and quality behind the feature. Those figures are Higgsfield's claims as of November 6, 2026, and pricing with any tool on this beat changes.
The cost of a finished ad also depends on how many takes you keep, because the agent makes new versions on request.
Where Micro Drama Ads Sit in Ads Studio
Micro Drama Ads is not the studio's first ad feature. The changelog dates Ads Studio itself to September 30, 2026, when it turned a website link into static ad creatives from a saved brand kit (logo, colors, tone, audience and selling points), batching up to 20 ads per product at a time.
On October 6, 2026, Higgsfield added Ad Multiplier inside Ads Studio. It rebuilds one existing video ad with your own characters, products and locations: you upload a reference ad of 4 to 30 seconds plus up to 20 images, describe the new scene, and it keeps the original's motion, framing, cuts and timing while swapping in what you name. It can also rewrite the hook, script or call to action. Its pricing table quotes a hook-and-CTA change at up to 140 credits (about $7.00) at 720p and up to 240 credits (about $12.00) at 1080p, and a CTA-only change at up to 35 credits ($1.75) at 720p and up to 60 credits ($3.00) at 1080p.
The difference is where the story comes from: Ad Multiplier remakes an ad you already made and keeps its edit, while Micro Drama Ads writes a new story-shaped ad from a brief or a script.
Should You Use It Instead of Filming?
The choice depends on what you already have.
If you have a winning video ad and want more versions of it without a reshoot, Ad Multiplier does that directly and prices each remake. Micro Drama Ads covers the case where there is no ad yet: you have a product and a brief, not footage. The tool is built for vertical social placements by default, and its story structure, a character, a problem, a rival and the product at the turn, is the same shape that carries short-form product ads.
The open questions are quality and edit control. The maker states the styles and the shape, not how the output holds up in close-up, how much of a specific script survives into the cut, or how often a take is usable. At 1080p a minute of video lists at $47.04 before any retakes, so test at 480p first, where a minute lists at about $8.82, and judge whether the story lands before spending on a higher resolution. If you need captions, exact brand fonts or a length fixed to a platform's spec, plan to add that after the generation, because the tool does not add captions on its own.
Micro Drama Ads runs inside Higgsfield Ads Studio on the web, or through the /microdrama-ads command in Claude and ChatGPT with the Higgsfield MCP connector attached. The tool page is at higgsfield.ai/ads-studio.
