Key takeaways

  • Reka Clip closes on November 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific, and new Clip registrations are already closed, according to Reka's service announcement.
  • Existing users can sign in and reach their existing videos until closure, and the notice describes no bulk export, so anything worth keeping has to be downloaded through the account.
  • Annual subscribers with eligible payments get prorated refunds for unused paid time, while unused purchased credits expire when Clip closes and will not be refunded.

Reka Clip, the AI tool that cut long videos into short clips, closes on November 13, 2026, and account access ends that night.

The company confirmed the closure on its own service announcement page, which also runs as a banner across the product site: "Clip closes November 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT." New Clip registrations are already closed, and existing users can sign in until the closure date. The notice does not give a reason for the shutdown.

Reka Clip was built for the repurposing workflow that grew up around podcasts, livestreams and long interviews. A creator dropped in a file or a YouTube or Twitch link and the tool found the loudest moments, cut them, reframed them to vertical, captioned them with word-synced subtitles in more than 60 languages, and exported them sized for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and X. It could clip a livestream while the event was still running, and it shipped a Chrome extension that put a Clip button inside the YouTube player itself. The product site lists 2.2 million users, 14.3 million downloaded clips and 4.8 million prompts sent.

Clip is the creator-facing half of Reka's product line, sitting beside the enterprise Vision Platform, an API for indexing and searching video at scale that Reka describes as its primary offering. The tool was also available through an API and an official n8n clipping template for automating clips. Reka's own pages read here do not give Clip's launch date, and the notice does not name a successor product for creators.

What users need to do before November 13:

  • Export anything worth keeping before then. The notice describes no bulk download or export tool, so clips have to be pulled from the account one at a time.
  • Spend purchased credits or write them off. Free credit grants will end, and free or promotional credits will no longer count toward processing. Valid purchased credits work until they expire or Clip closes, whichever comes first, and any that remain at closure will not be refunded.
  • Check the subscription. Monthly plans end at the end of their current billing period and will not renew. Annual subscribers with eligible payments get prorated refunds for unused paid time, calculated after their final monthly entitlement ends, or when Clip closes, whichever comes first. The notice says the page does not confirm individual refund status.

Reka's other products are unaffected by the notice, and the enterprise Vision Platform stays on sale. A shutdown tracker that logged the notice lists OpusClip and Vizard as tools doing comparable work.

Account access ends when Clip closes on November 13, 2026.
